Did you know that there are two types of fill in the blank practice options in Creator+?
Mohamad Miari Creator+ is an add on package for Brightspace which provides additional features to help assist you in your teaching. Creator + contains many features like layouts, elements, practices, and web capture. Creator+ practices have two types of fill in the blanks questions.
Fill in the blanks question types are:
- Fill in the blanks (written response):
In this type, users are required to type their own responses into the blank spaces provided. This format allows for open-ended answers, and it is suitable for using when you don’t want to give a choice of answers, so it doesn’t offer the user any clues about what responses is expected.
- Fill in the blanks (dropdown):
This type involves a predefined set of options or choices presented in a dropdown menu.
Users choose the correct option from the provided list rather than typing their own responses.
It helps ensure uniformity in responses and is useful when there is a specific set of correct answer.
In addition to these two fill-in-the-blank options, Creator+, offer features that enhance the learning experience. Students have the opportunity to check their answers immediately, with feedback provided for both correct and incorrect responses. This instant feedback not only aids in reinforcing learning but also allows students to understand and rectify mistakes.
In the current setup, responses are not recorded; however, it’s worth noting that this may evolve in the future. It’s recommended to stay updated with Brightspace announcements and policies to be informed about any changes in data recording practices.
